Growing up on Long Island, riding the LIRR into Penn Station wasn’t just transportation — it was an education. The M3’s infamous Rail Fan Window offered a front-row seat to the Engineer’s world: signals, switches, interlockings, and the controlled chaos of Harold and Sunnyside.
Years later, as a qualified Locomotive Engineer, the mystery I once pressed my face against the glass to understand, became a disciplined practice of operating rules, signal aspects/names/indications, track names/speeds, and operating nuance learned in all conditions, in all seasons.
This controller, is a tribute to the locomotives — and the Engineers — that shaped that journey.

Construction
Durable aluminum frame and internal core with minimal plastic components. Hardware is sourced globally to replicate authentic train control feel. The master controller rises and lowers naturally under hand weight, rotating through brake and power positions with distinct tactile and audible notches.
FINISH
Smooth lines and controlled curves finished in black powder coat with exposed brushed sheet metal. Control notations are permanently marked to match the original cab environment and color scheme.
functionality
True plug-and-play operation via USB. A custom control board reads all inputs and integrates with included companion software, making connection and calibration across Train Simulator platforms simple and reliable.
This design allows simmers to manipulate controls in similar fashion to the original BUDD Company M-series of Electric Multiple Units. The most commonly used controls have been implemented to near scale sizing to provide a highly realistic operating experience.
